Carabal Winery is in Alía, a small town in the southeast of the province of Cáceres, located in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadalupe.
The vineyard has an area of 55 hectares where grapes of different varieties are grown, such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Graciano and other experimental varieties. The philosophy of work is based on the self-supply of grapes, looking for quality above all else. The selected varieties are the ones that best adapt to the type of soil and climatology of the zone.
The winery is a unique building with straight and modern lines that integrates and merges with the environment. It has the most modern facilities, where the whole process of winemaking and breeding is done. With an innovative interior design that integrates the social zones with the production areas, allowing visitors to enjoy and participate in the scrupulous and precise tasks that are carried out.
The wines of Bodega Carabal belong to the D.O. Ribera del Guadiana. The vineyard is designed to produce three types of wine that complete the range of quality that a large winery needs to satisfy the most demanding consumers. The first is a wine of short aging in barrel, rich and fruity (Carabal Rasgo); The second, a more complete wine with one year aging (Carabal Cávea); and the third, the most exclusive and least produced, a unique wine assembling different varieties and only elaborated in the best harvest years (Carabal Gulae).
